Your AI assistant can build the entire course

Connect the Claude, ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot your institution already licenses to EduGears AI LMS. Ask for a course, and your assistant builds it — structure, modules, lesson pages and quizzes — as a draft in your platform, ready for your review before any learner sees it.

In plain words

What connecting your assistant means

Many teachers already draft with a chat assistant, then spend an evening rebuilding the results in the LMS. The connector removes that step.

A connector, not another chatbot

Claude, ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot can each be extended with connectors — a standard way (the Model Context Protocol, MCP) for a chat assistant to use an outside tool. EduGears AI LMS is now such a tool. Once connected, your assistant can see which courses it may work in, what it can create, and the exact formats EduGears AI accepts.

Your assistant writes, EduGears AI LMS delivers

The writing happens in the assistant your institution already pays for. EduGears AI LMS does what a chat window cannot: it holds the course in the right structure, renders questions properly — mathematics included — and delivers the lessons and quizzes to your learners.

Example

One conversation, one course

Teacher, in their own assistant

Create a course on celestial navigation with four modules. Give each module lesson pages and a short quiz.

Assistant, using EduGears AI

Done. “Celestial Navigation” is in EduGears AI LMS with four modules, each with lesson pages and a short quiz with answer keys. It is a draft, so learners can’t see it yet — open it in EduGears AI LMS to review and publish when you’re ready.

Draft — not visible to learners

The assistant confirms what it created and where. You review the course in EduGears AI LMS, edit anything you like, and decide when it goes live.

What it can build

From one conversation to a full course

Ask in plain words. Your assistant creates real course material in your platform, not text to copy and paste.

Entire courses

A new course with its structure, modules and lesson pages, built from one request — and refined with follow-up requests in the same conversation.

Modules and lesson pages

Add a module with lesson pages to a course you already teach. Your assistant writes the content; EduGears AI LMS structures it.

Quizzes and practice

Graded quizzes and practice sets with multiple choice, true/false, short answer and essay questions, with answer keys and explanations.

Aware of your courses

Your assistant can list the courses you teach and the content in them, so follow-up requests land in the right place.

Setup

Connected in about two minutes

Teachers and administrators do it themselves — there is nothing for IT to install and no API keys to request.

  1. 1

    Add the connector

In your assistant, add a custom connector (some assistants call it an app or an MCP server) and paste your EduGears AI server address. It is shown, with a copy button, on your account page in EduGears AI LMS.

  2. 2

Sign in as you always do

Your assistant opens your platform's EduGears AI sign-in page. Sign in with your usual account and approve the connection — no pairing codes.

  3. 3

    Ask for a course

Describe the course you want. Your assistant confirms what it created and where it landed.

Guardrails

You stay the publisher

The connection is deliberately narrow: course material you author, and nothing else.

Draft until you publish

A course your assistant builds stays a draft, invisible to learners, until you publish it. Anything it adds to a course that is already live arrives hidden and appears only when you choose.

No student work, grades or gradebooks

Your assistant can read and create course material. Student submissions, grades and gradebooks are not part of the connection, and the consent screen says so before you approve it.

Personal, and easy to switch off

Each teacher approves their own connection and can disconnect it at any moment; administrators can see and disconnect every connected assistant in the organization. Content already created stays yours.

Runs on the AI you already license

No new AI contract: the writing happens inside your institution's own Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot, under the agreement it already has. EduGears AI receives the finished material, not your conversation.

Frequently asked questions

What teachers and administrators ask before they connect an assistant.

Which assistants work with it?

Any assistant that supports custom connectors over the Model Context Protocol. Today that includes Claude (paid plans), ChatGPT (plans with connector support) and Microsoft Copilot Studio agents. The connector is the same standard in each; only the place where you add it differs.

Can it really build a whole course?

Yes. In EduGears AI LMS your assistant can create a new course and fill it with modules, lesson pages and quizzes from one conversation. The course stays a draft until you publish it, so you review everything first.

Does my institution need new AI contracts for this?

No. The writing happens inside the assistant your institution already licenses, under the agreement it already has. EduGears AI receives the finished material — not your conversation.

Can the assistant see my students' work or grades?

No. The connection covers course material: reading your course list and content, and creating courses, modules, lesson pages and quizzes. Student submissions, grades and gradebooks are not part of it, and the consent screen states that before you connect.

Who can connect an assistant?

Teachers and administrators, each with their own account. Students cannot connect an assistant. Administrators can see and disconnect every connected assistant in the organization.

What happens if I disconnect?

The assistant loses access immediately. Everything it already created stays in EduGears AI LMS, exactly like content you made by hand.

How do we get it?

The connector is rolling out now and is switched on per organization. Contact us and we will enable it for your platform.

Want your assistant building courses this week?

The connector is switched on per organization while we onboard the first institutions. Tell us about your platform and we will enable it.
